Navigation Explorer - Collapsible Layout Structure

Oracle Insurance Rules Workbench features a streamlined and intuitive user interface, with the Navigation Explorer (left-side panel) serving as the central access point for all key modules and configuration items.

Navigation Explorer Overview

  • Navigation Explorer (left-side panel) displays all main nodes in a clear, collapsible folder structure.

  • Layout is designed for efficient navigation between modules and rapid access to configuration items.

Collapsible Layout Structure

The Navigation Explorer groups modules into clearly labeled folders, improving usability and reducing navigation complexity.

  • The Global and Admin Explorer folders are displayed together in a unified view within the Navigation Explorer, rather than split into separate tabs (as in Oracle Insurance Rules Palette).

  • Main Explorer is accessed via a toggle button at the top-left corner of the Navigation Explorer.

  • To expand folder contents, click on the folder name.

Global

The Global folder appears as a node, and clicking the folder name expands it to display all rule-related information organized by category.

Important: In Oracle Insurance Rules Workbench, Companies, Products, and Plans can only be created through the Global folder. In Oracle Insurance Rules Palette, these entities are created via the Main Explorer tab.

The Global folder includes collapsible attached rules.

Admin Explorer

In Oracle Insurance Rules Palette, Administration, Release Management, and Security were grouped under the Admin Explorer tab.

In Oracle Insurance Rules Workbench, each appears as a separate folder directly within the Navigation Explorer for easier access.

Main Explorer

The Main Explorer is accessed by enabling the toggle button in the top-left corner of the Navigation Explorer(left panel) on the Rules Workbench Dashboard. When enabled, the Main Explorer displays a Companies folder that expands to reveal a collapsible hierarchy of Subsidiaries, Products, Plans, Business Rules, and more, grouped under each company.

Important: While Main Explorer allows viewing and editing of entities by company, entity creation is only available through the Global folder.

Steps to Navigate

  • Click the toggle button in the top-left corner of the Navigation Explorer.

  • The Main Explorer becomes active, and the Companies node appears.

  • Expand the Companies node to view:

    • Primary companies

    • Subsidiary companies

    • Child companies

    • Product

    • Plans and more

This hierarchical structure aligns with Oracle Insurance Rules Palette while introducing enhanced access and improved module organization.
